STARS - Be sure you provide your STARS identification number to the instructor when you attend orientation. Upon successful completion of your course your instructor will use this number to "post" the hours onto the STARS system.

While this is an optional opportunity the the Dept.of Early Learning and ELOP college partners are making in possible for you to receive credit at little or no cost to you. Even if you are not currently enrolled in a college program, taking the class for credit affords you the opportunity to use it at a later date should you decide to enter or return to college in the future. To receive credit for the class and receive a class voucher or reduced cost credit, you must register for the credit at the start of your class module. Your instructor will provide you with the registration materials during orientation. You must complete the registration forms for submission to the college before you leave the orientation meeting.

Homework and Grades -Whether you take the class for STARs continuing education hours and/or for college credit there is required homework for this class. On average you can expect to spend approximately ten hours of time completing the reading and course requirements online. Instructors are required to post a grade that reflects the quantity and quality of your responses and participation. Details about how each instructor will review and grand your class will be provided to you by them at orientation. If you have a question about the work, how work will be graded or the content of the class contact your Instructor immediately.
